It's working!!!

My mom is coming home! Her and my grandma are moving in a few weeks. We have a new house that everyone will fit in. It's beautiful and I am hoping we will never leave!!! Dan is out right now working our business with a couple of our business partners, I'm waiting for DISH Network to be installed. I feel like I am finally after many years at peace with life again. We have a long way to go but we are kicking butt and moving forward no matter what! If anyone needs a hook up on Cable Home or Business Security Home phone (unlimited international calling!) In the ever pursuit of trying to move forward and push through the bullshit of life, my husband and I have decided to try our hand at ACN. It is a multi-level marketing business that deals with essential services. So far so good, everything seems positive. My whys for doing this are simple... 1) Move into our own home again. We lost our home of over 10 years to the Real Estate market bust. Being in escrow I also lost my career. Trying to build this all back up from the bottom is a lot harder as you get older. No retirement, no 401K, no savings...its all gone trying to hold on for dear life. 2) Get my mom home. She lives too far away...she is a Breast and Ovarian cancer survivor!!! The last year has been hell and we are ready to move on and live life to the fullest. 3) Once and for all do something I love. I'm at a point in my life that I would love to paint, draw, sketch etc...for a living and not worry about the week to week paycheck. :) 4) Take my girls and husband on a kick-ass vacation. I haven't had a real vacation nor paid vacation time since 2005. So there it is... I'm doing it. It's going to rock! Time to get creative again, I think I'm going to do a pic using all sharpies...I've always thought a mural with sharpies would be fun, bright and colorful... time to get moving on that. :) Now to find inspiration!

Suess doodles... fun!

Just signed up to volunteer to help the drama class with their production of Suessical the Musical. My girls can't be in the production due to scheduling conflicts however I do plan on having them help me with the stage props as much as possible. Looking forward to painting and helping out...will post pics as I can. So now to practice some Dr. Suess drawings ... right up my alley!

Would LOVE to be able to work in a school again... maybe in the Admin office. Fingers crossed something comes up!

Lil Man's Complex???

I drew these for very good friends of mine. They lived in an apartment at the time but wanted a Peter Pan themed nursery for thier new son. So instead of painting directly to the walls, since at anytime one can move from an apartment, we framed some sketched I did and that was my GIFT to them.

I once had someone tell me they were going to turn me into Disney because of these. I didn't sell these and I don't plan on mass producing. Besides maybe if Disney found out about them I could get a job there! ;) Thanks for thinking my drawings rival and would worry Disney!

I drew this for a friend of mine, it was a "Pay it Forward" challenge. You were supposed to send a friend something you made and in return they would do the same. My friend Heather made me a beanie! Love it!
